Kerala is situated in the southwestern end of the Indian subcontinent. Kerala has a long history of art and cultural heritage and foreign trade with other countries. The state with the highest literacy rate in India, is noted for its achievements in education, health, gender equality, social justice, law and order. In addition to these, the state has the lowest infant mortality rate in the country.
 
Kerala lies between the Arabian Sea in the West and the Western Ghats (Sahyadris) in the East with an area of 38863 sq km. It is one of the five states in the linguistic-cultural area known as South India. The neighbouring states of Kerala are Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Mayyazhi (Mahe / Mahe) is a part of Pondicherry (Puducherry) and lies within Kerala. Though the Lakshadweeps in the Arabian Sea is part of the Union Territories, it has a close alliance with the linguistic and cultural heritage of Kerala.
 
Before the independence of India, Kerala was one of the princely states in india. Later on 1 July 1949, the princely states of Travancore and Cochin united to form the Travancore-Cochin State. Later, When the Malabar region (formerly part of Madras state) was added to the Travancore-Cochin State. The state was formed on 1 November 1956.

Day 1Welcome to Cochin

Arrival at Cochin Airport/ Railway Station. Transfer to Hotel. After relaxation go for a half day sightseeing of Cochin, Visit the famous Dutch Palace – with its wonderful mural painting the entire story of the Ramayana in its walls, Jewish Synagogue, Jews Street, St.Francis church, Chinese fishing net – are huge cantilevered fishing net & the indo-Portuguese Museum. Later transfer you back to Hotel. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 2Arr. at Cochin Transfer to Munnar

Our representative will receive you on arrival at Cochin Airport/ Railway station and transfer to the Resort in Munnar (153 Kms – 5 Hrs drives). Check into hotel Day free & Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3Munnar

After breakfast we take you for a full day sightseeing trip of Munnar – covering some of the major sightseeing – Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary home of Nilgiry Thar (very rare mountain goat), considering the ecological faunal, floral, geo- morphological and zoological significant & Tea Plantation & Tea Plantation. Overnight stay in Hotel, Munnar.

Day 4Munnar to Thekkady

After breakfast and move to Thekkady (120 Kms / 4 Hrs). Check into Hotel at Thekkady. After refreshing go for a spice plantation Tour to see crops of cardamom cinnamon, pepper, coffee, tea estate (Optional) & later for boating in the Periyar lake- its centre piece of Periyar Wildlife sanctuary also Periyar Tiger reserve, man made lake of the height of 2000 ft, Later return to hotel for overnight stay in hotel.

Day 5Thekkady to Alleppey

After breakfast drive to Alleppey (145 Kms / 4 Hrs) the lush green vegetation and the climate attract a number of tourists to this place. On arrival at check in to A/c Dlx Houseboat cruise will be start form 12 pm to 09 am next day and O/n at houseboat.

Day 6Alleppey to Kovalam

Check out time form Houseboat is 09:00 A.M. After check out drives to Kovalam (170 Kms and 5 Hrs drives). On arrival check in at Hotel. Afternoon is at leisure and Evening free for personal activity. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7Kovalam

After breakfast, transfer to Kovalam sightseeing of Padhamanabha Swamy temple, Museum, Horse Palace, Art Gallery. Kovalam considered as the Paradise of the South. It consists of three adjacent crescent beaches and also picture perfect tropical beaches. Rest of the day at leisure on the beach Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8Transfer to Trivendrum Airport dropping (15 Kms / ½ hrs)

After breakfast transfer from Kovalam to the Trivendrum airport/railway station for onward travel.
